ABSTRACT
Video capture is an increasingly important aspect of photography and a necessity for anyone serious about a future as a photographer. This chapter reviews the various options available for video capture and the requirements for making a quality video including resolution and frame rate. Recommendations are given for recording, whether to use manual or AF, and audio. Three types of video are defined, drama/theatrical, news/documentary, and fine art, as well as lighting and other considerations.
