ABSTRACT

The first time I met Arthur, when I stage-managed A ViewJrom the Bridge, I thought I was going to faint when he came in to see the cast. He was my hero. So articulate. He's this great storyteller. He sounds like this New York cab driver; he's so unpretentious and earthy. You're laughing one minute, then you're thinking the next, and touched the next. He is a storyteller, just in the way he frames his stories. He's hitting the colours on the canvas.
