ABSTRACT
The performance of the JTHB Cantata took place in 2003 on the concert hall stage of the Sydney Opera House and involved the Ntaria Ladies Choir. I recorded this performance for public television (ABC) in Australia as part of my documentary film, Cantata Journey (2006). This chapter will track the transformation of Journey to Horseshoe Bend from print to music in respect of its visual and narrative qualities, its further mediatization in documentary film and its place in Strehlow’s poetic sensibilities.
