ABSTRACT

The Governance Chart used in this example was constructed to display conformity to the requirements of due process. This outcome is defined as the accomplishment of the methodical use of the chart as a recipiently designed object. The methods used are those of common sense organisational cartography and comprise idealised formalisation, the use of recognisable investigative relevances, the deployment of a grammar of symbols and the achievement of correspondence by fiat. The analytic visibility of each is explicated and the contingencies to which they give rise set out.
