ABSTRACT

This chapter reveals reasons Constantine gives for how his family life depends on his work and the income he generates with it. It is a paradox, it seems: selling arms to someone to kill with gives him the income that enables him to take care of his family, to live their lives. That paradox is illustrated by how he has lived with his former partners and current partner, and his (step)children and grandchildren. Particular attention is paid to his love relationships with his current wife who has three sons who are his stepchildren, and to his biological daughter who has children of her own and are his grandchildren.
