ABSTRACT

The plot is defined as the actual episodes required to tell the story. For Aristotle, there are three types of plot: the complex, the simple, and the episodic. Of them, the episodic is to be avoided, as it really is no plot at all, just a loose collection of chronological events. On the other hand, in a well-constructed plot, every event is caused by what precedes it and causes what follows, according to the laws of necessity and probability. That means there is a consequential connection between everything that happens in a good plot.
