ABSTRACT
Looking at a list of memorable movie characters, we can see some recurring patterns. For Aristotle, to be effective, a character must possess four things: goodness, appropriateness, likeness, and consistency. A discussion of goodness and appropriateness leads to a model for creating characters that will serve the needs of the story.
