ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book introduces classic questions in philosophy of mind with consideration regarding the significance of culture in understanding the nature of the mind and the world. It presents a philosophical tradition that preserves the ideal notion of the mind and the body. The book demonstrates the mechanisms of culture in the social and physical worlds. The book presents a knowledge structure of cultural systems that is explainable within a knowledge structure of neural systems. It discusses the mental properties of domains of knowledge that are innate, encapsulated, automatic, and have fixed neural architecture. The book examines the social structure of the field of cultural neuroscience. It describes methods for theory confirmation of the cultural mechanisms of the mind and brain.
