ABSTRACT

This chapter examines the issue of global water usage for agriculture, and the impact of agricultural practices on water quality in the United States and beyond. It also addresses the issue of water access and pollution, and its disproportionate impact on women, children, and vulnerable populations. It explores several religious initiatives to address the global water crisis for how they consider current agricultural problems in light of religious beliefs and practices. In the end, a faith-based group engaged in watershed restoration activities is considered.
