ABSTRACT
The differing communication approaches of management and safety professionals often result in failure to adequately get their message across and end up at cross purposes. Both need to move towards each other in approach – management must become more conversant with the technical side of safety and safety professionals need to be more aware of the broader business so that they can contribute more fully at executive level and so gain more influence in decision making.
