ABSTRACT

There are three key categories of people involved in safety management at work. These are the management, the workers and the safety professional. Each has different perspectives, different skill sets and different concerns. Management think that they know best, the workers feel ignored and the safety professional sits between, under pressure from both. Each needs to understand the perspective of the others in order to better work together towards improvement.
