ABSTRACT

Normally, autoforgery would be defined as a forgery of one's signature created by oneself. This, however, is a contradiction of terms for a forgery must be, by definition, an execution performed by another person. Examiners of handwriting must therefore extrapolate from standards of an earlier or later date, and such a process is sometimes difficult to do and frequently subject to challenge. The handwriting factors examined included duration, size, velocity, jerk, and pen pressure. It was found that changes in handwriting factors were dependent on the style used, and that changes in handwriting velocity and size were caused by the writer's change in handwriting style during a disguise strategy. The technology can produce accurate movements in both position and velocity with fluency, or in simpler terms, the robotic arm can mimic the form features of the handwriting as well as the speed features of the movement.
