ABSTRACT

Linear mathematical relations have been developed from the results of Taguchi design of experiments and analysis of variance between input parameters like blank-holder force, friction coefficient, die profile radius, and punch nose radius. The performance characteristics applied for punch plate is springback. During the minimization process, the punch plate diameter, die profile radius, and coefficient of friction were selected as variables. This chapter discusses the numerical simulation which was carried out with the optimum parameters achieved after optimization with cuckoo search (CS). It examines three basic types of brood parasitism: intraspecific brood parasitism, cooperative breeding, and nest takeover. To a certain extent, a number of species are involved in obligate brood parasitism by laying their eggs in the nests of other host birds. The chapter talks about the average spring back which is calculated with actual measurements at various cross sections. For analysis of variance the quality characteristic selected is springback.
