ABSTRACT

Based on the successful characteristics of biological systems, many nature-inspired algorithms have been developed over the last few decades. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is a population-based stochastic optimization technique inspired by the social behavior of bird flocking or fish schooling. Flower pollen localization algorithm is a nature-inspired algorithm which simulates the pollination of flowering plants. Springback is selected as a performance measure. Experiments are designed to study and correlate the effect of the process parameters on springback. Springback displacement magnitude and springback displacement deflection are the various types of results achieved for springback. Linear mathematical relations have been developed from the results of Taguchi design of experiments and analysis of variance between input parameters like blank-holder force, friction coefficient, die profile radius, and punch nose radius. The performance characteristics applied for sealing cover is springback.
