ABSTRACT
In this chapter we make suggestions for university administrators related to creating the culture for grantsmanship in the humanities and social sciences at their institutions. Humanists and social scientists cannot be expected to seek and attain funding in the same manner as STEM scientists. Institutions must understand the incentives and rewards that will best catalyze proposal writing in these disciplines.
