ABSTRACT

In this chapter, you will find guidelines for communicating the “what” and “how” of your research project in the most compelling way. Even for those well-versed in the act of research methods, writing about it can be perplexing. In this chapter we provide advice on describing your methods in a way that is well-organized and integrated with the other key sections, especially your theoretical significance and research questions. Two methods and procedures section examples, drawn from successfully funded proposals, are discussed and decoded.
