Everyone who was supposed to be in attendance was seated around the seminar room table and Professor Walt wasted no time in starting the discussion that was always less of a discussion per se and more of a pedagogical performance that he would conduct as if he were directing some kind of structured improvisation featuring his own theoretical soliloquies, but where the various participants (students, visiting artists and scholars, lab assistants) would occasionally be encouraged to intersubjectively jam with each other in a form of “metamediumistic energy transference” (his term) that would subliminally transcode the localized movements of everyone’s neurons mirroring each other in a collective “dance of the intellect”…
