ABSTRACT
Many learners can benefit from written and pictorial instructions, rather than instructions, which are only given verbally. This doesn’t require any pre-preparation – you can explain a task to the class and then write the key points together in summary using simple language on the whiteboard. Writing the key points together like this will both reinforce information to learners as well as checking their understanding. This strategy is particularly useful for learners with memory difficulties, EAL, ASC, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and ADHD.
