ABSTRACT

The last chapter showed the principles needed for self-organisation to work. But that is only half the story. Based on over 3,000 measurements in 40 organisations around the world we have found that many have these principles, more or less, in place. What is missing is the needed behaviours by leaders to enable better performance. Analysis has found two major problems typically occur. But before we look at those problems, we need to cover a couple of things, and do some exploration!
