ABSTRACT

The Big Bang theory, besides being a television show, was proposed by scientists to explain the origins of the universe. This theory is described by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a general principle offered to explain an observed phenomenon, which is the origin and evolution of universe. This chapter looks at how learning theories guide teachers’ creation of a learning environment, whether learning takes place face-to-face or virtually. Language stems from the combination of individual letters and their sounds. Behaviorist theory focuses on breaking down a task, such as learning to read, into individual components and becoming proficient by progressing step-by-step from simple to complex. Students’ learning is dependent on all the ways ideas are communicated, through the teacher, classmates, instructional tools, classroom, school environment, and the social interactions among students, teachers, parents, and the community. Creating a physical environment that promotes learning involves planning, organization, and creativity.
