ABSTRACT
As seen earlier, the environment in which surgeons operate influences performance. Surgeons can control some of these environmental factors while others are beyond their control. Improving the operating room atmosphere can improve surgeon performance and reduce stress. Individually, environmental factors may not affect performance, but collectively they exert a significant influence.1 All these factors interact with each other, thus, to manage stress, management of various factors needs to be considered.
