ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book introduces a variety of tools that can use to conduct public affairs research and evaluation. The executive director of National Helping Hands (NHH) wants to get a better sense of the contributions made by its member organizations to community disaster planning, relief, and recovery. The book provides with a "big picture" look at the overall process of conducting research by highlighting the various types of decisions we will have to make as we execute a research project or a program evaluation. The survey provides an assessment of perceived contributions at the organizational level. Each stream provides its own set of information. The executive director decides to focuses on the organization's website as the mechanism to get the word out to NHH stakeholders and to others NHH interacts with such as federal.
