ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an overview of mental health conditions that is both an informative introduction for the newcomer to this field (e.g., the yoga practitioner and layperson) and a helpful review of core relevant information for the seasoned mental health professional. It includes an overview of mood, anxiety, trauma, psychotic, and personality disorders. The chapter begins to tie the central Three-Pronged Model to these mental health conditions, thus starting to train the reader in how to apply the model and discern the potential direction of care within it.
