ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses changes that arising from a level of confusion when discussing Emergency Management. For those with a national perspective, Emergency Management may focus on the national response plans that bring together various levels of government and outside entities in response to major events. Within the Asset Protection and Security community, this has been confused in several organizations with Emergency Management that focuses on the contingency plans used to protect personnel, assets and operations within an organization’s facilities (ranging from campuses to individual buildings).
