ABSTRACT

In this final chapter of the book the focus turns towards the career coach themselves. The chapter offers some suggestions for making a choice between one technique and another, and tips for incorporating the tools into their practice, focusing on the needs of the client, the preferences of the coach and the coach’s confidence as they try something new. The chapter examines ethical practice for career coaches, offering some suggestions for improving reflective practice and managing boundaries with clients. The chapter ends with some advice for practitioners who are keen to continue to keep their expertise up to date.
