ABSTRACT
In explaining and anticipating the long-term effect upon urban spatial structure, one exogenous parameter has been allowed to change, while all other parameters were held constant. In this way, the pure effect that the parameter has upon the model, and hence upon urban spatial structure, can be traced in isolation of all other noise. (This method incidentally was first employed in the social sciences by Von Thünen in his seminal studies on agricultural land rent.)
