ABSTRACT

Most people get angry from time to time. Anger is an important and very powerful emotion that gives clues about our own current well-being and about what we feel strongly about. Anger and frustration are high-tension emotions in the body. Unexpressed high tension feelings can comes out in general irritability, or in regular flare-ups or tantrums. Feelings of unexpressed frustration and tension can sometimes be behind symptoms of depression. Effective therapy for persistent depression always involves helping a person learn some new thinking patterns. Depression of any sort can be an opportunity for a person to take to take a deep look at their own experience, feelings, thinking and deepest wishes, and make some important changes. People who come through depression often have a much better understanding of themselves and others. Depressed people need help in keeping activities going and in building and maintaining a social network of peers and supportive adults outside the family.
