ABSTRACT
If you or others are concerned about your young child’s development, it is important to carry out a developmental assessment. This leaflet will give you some ideas about how to use a developmental chart to understand your child’s difficulties. Remember children can have learning difficulties or they can have emotional difficulties. Sometimes they can have both. Difficulties can be mild, or more severe, and sometimes the difficulties lie in the circumstances around the child. This leaflet will help you to start thinking about what you can do to help your child.
