About this life skill This life skill is about being able to say no and to establish clear boundaries. Without it, we are open to being abused and used. It is too easy for people to disregard or play down bad treatment in a relationship as ‘something that just happens’, or to pretend to themselves and others that it really isn’t that bad. Underlying this skill is the ability to know your own mind, what you want and don’t want. It is this that forms such a key part in feeling psychologically strong and resilient.
