Sam wondered what to wear. He looked at the pile of dirty clothes on the floor. He picked up a shirt ( ) and looked at it ( ). He dropped it back on the floor ( ) and picked up another one ( ). He looked at the collar ( ). It was just as dirty. He would have to go to the laundrette. He fetched a pillowcase and stuffed the clothes into it ( ). Then he remembered something. He patted his pocket ( ) to make sure he had some change. Was it enough? He took the coins out ( ) and put them on the table ( ). He counted them carefully ( ). Just OK. He put them back in his pocket ( ), picked up the bag of dirty washing ( ) and set off for the laundrette.
