ABSTRACT

In the last chapter, the three crucial areas in human life, sexuality, giving birth, and dying are finally offered as significant examples of the view defended in the book. Each case is briefly explored and treated as the occasion for experimentation of one’s individuality: the chapter argues that moral and political responsibility are to be based on this radical notion of freedom and subjectivity. Against the view that ties responsibility to roles and traditional framing of one’s actions, radical subjectivity is seen as the proper place for grounding personal and political responsibility.
