ABSTRACT

Representatives from ten big state-owned department stores in nine Chinese cities held a meeting in Tientsin to exchange their experiences in criticizing Teng Hsiao-p'ing and repulsing the Right deviationist attempt at reversing correct verdicts. At the meeting, the representatives angrily denounced Teng Hsiao-p'ing's crimes of negating the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. The representatives agreed unanimously that the newly emerging socialist things are fruits of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, which have restricted bourgeois right in the realms of distribution, exchange, and the relations among people. Socialist commerce in China is carried on not merely to do business, but to consolidate the position of the dictatorship of the proletariat. Workers on the socialist commercial front are proletarian revolutionary fighters and shoulder the important task of restricting bourgeois right in the sphere of commodity circulation and combating the forces of restoration and retrogression, so as to eradicate the hotbeds that engender new bourgeois elements.
