ABSTRACT

In handling correctly the relative rates of growth between agricultural labor productivity and the average consumption level of agricultural laborers, the essential task must be to raise agricultural labor productivity. However, when the rate of the rise of agricultural labor productivity has already been ascertained, the relative rates of growth would then depend upon the rate of the rise in the average consumption level of agricultural laborers. In studying the rate of the rise in the average consumption level of agricultural laborers, it is necessary to consider not only the enhancement of agricultural labor productivity, but also the relative levels of consumption be223tween workers and peasants, so that the rate of the rise in the average consumption level of peasants and the rate of the rise in the consumption level of staff and workers would maintain an adequate proportion, thus becoming conducive to solidifying the worker-peasant alliance and to developing industrial and agricultural production.
