ABSTRACT
A child without sight makes use of a delicate sense of touch to ‘recognise’ a
face. The fingers become eyes and the sense of touch has to work harder to
replace the sense of sight.
A child’s first picture is usually a very simple face, which in time acquires
limbs and eventually a body. The face is the focus.
