ABSTRACT
Some children find it too scary to talk when they go to school, even
though they’re really good at talking at home. If one of your friends
doesn’t talk at school, don’t tease her* about not talking. She probably
really wants to talk, but finds she can’t when she’s in certain places,
like school. She might be able to whisper to you, or talk to one or two
people. You might even see her talking outside school, but talking in
school is just too scary at the moment. Teasing her will only make her
feel more scared about talking.
