ABSTRACT

Learning in harmony with the people unique ‘brain wiring’ will make them an effective learner. The first visual map presented in this chapter shows a variety of conditions that are necessary for people to learn effectively. However, as the people are all different, only some of them are ‘right’ for individual learners. Browsing through the map, the people will probably realise that their preferences depend on a number of factors: the subject matter, their motivation, the way the people feel, what they need to do. On the visual map provided, mark everything that describes what it is that the people like or need in most learning situations. There is no right or wrong way to learn. There are people who show no clear preference, but many of the reader seem to favour either left or right brain ways of thinking, acting and learning.
