ABSTRACT
'The Skills of Conversation' cube has a skill either written or illustrated on each side. This cube can be used as a dice to select a skill. The teacher rolls the dice or the students take turns to roll the dice to determine which skill they are going to practise. The teacher or a student then selects an activity from the appropriate section of 'The Skills of Conversation' activity box:
Looking politely at people and standing at an appropriate distance
Looking carefully in order to see important things
Listening attentively and remembering what has been heard
Waiting, listening to others and recalling information given
Speaking clearly
Asking and answering conversational questions
