ABSTRACT
3Pattern and colour are evident everywhere in our world, and this theme offers children the opportunity to explore a wide range of art- and design-learning techniques. Nature provides source material in abundance. Cross sections of fruit and vegetable studies, enlarged pattern observation and curved stitching were some of my tried-and-tested ideas for an Open Day wall display, with KS2 and KS3 boys, in an Essex SEBD school.
