ABSTRACT
Assessment is recognised as being crucial to effective teaching and learning. Each of these lessons includes numerous opportunities for staff observation and assessment of the individual pupil's work. The worksheets themselves will form part of this continuous assessment procedure. It is hoped that this will be formative assessment which will then be used to 'pace' the lessons more effectively to the pupils' skills, knowledge and abilities.
