ABSTRACT

In preparation for the meeting, the teacher collects examples of work the student has done. He sends home an accessible agenda (the pro forma which was made accessible with students from the school) for the parent or carer to support the student to look at and add their own comments in the space provided. This pro forma and the work done by the student in class is used to support the student to focus on and be involved in the discussions. A summary using pictures, symbols and easy words is then sent home with a more detailed report.
