Let them hide it for you to find too. Comment on 'good listening'. You will need to find a quiet area with minimal distractions for this activity. • Wind Up Toy Shared Activity with a Child, Supported by an Adult Repeat the first activity and include another child. Start by managing turns to find the item before letting them both race to find it. Extend by letting one child hide for the other to find, and alternate turns. • Wind Up Toy Sharing Books, Songs or Nursery Rhymes Once during the day offer the child the chance to share a book, song or nursery rhyme with you, one to one.Choose interactive books, e.g. with flaps, and songs/rhymes with actions.Record the book, song or rhyme in the Resource column and record how long the child stays involved in the notes.Do not extend the activity beyond five minutes.
