ABSTRACT

Possibilities for conflict exist everywhere and are inevitable in all ongoing relationships. They may arise out of a difference of opinion, desires, values, interests, misunderstandings, values, interests, competitiveness, family interests or cultural background. In order to resolve conflicts, people need to believe that the situation can be worked through. They also need to be careful that they are not putting all their energy into defending their position. All the steps do not need to be completed at one time. In fact, it may be useful to have more than one break before all the steps have been completed. In order to resolve conflicts, people need to believe that the situation can be worked through. They also need to be careful that they are not putting all their energy into defending their position. When conflict management skills are used, potential conflicts can be averted or defused and turned into a positive source for improved interpersonal relationships.
