ABSTRACT

Everyone should be feeling pleased with their progress on the course. They will also likely be feeling sad that the course is coming to an end. They will need to be reassured that they can continue to make progress on their own. Ensure that there is ample time for farewells at the end of the session. The group might like to celebrate the end of the course in some way. This could be a pub meal, a barbecue or whatever. Facilitators will be able to identify many more ways that help develop, reinforce and maintain a positive outlook and keep facilitators motivated to build on the work facilitators have begun. Identify particular methods that work well for facilitators and use them regularly. Using one of the areas that facilitators have identified as needing strengthening or improving, write this down as a goal and fill in the steps facilitators need to achieve that gaol.
