ABSTRACT
The AFFECTS process: from theory to application This chapter builds on a clear understanding of autism and the challenges children with autism face in busy home, school and community settings. The AFFECTS process is set against that backdrop. Later chapters cover recognised good practice and the strategies which are key to the AFFECTS action plan.
