ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with how to create an environment – at home and in school – that
promotes the sharing of personal experience; and how to develop children’s narratives
into writing and drama – whether for the enjoyment of family and the creation of family
memories, or for learning. Finally, we will identify some criteria that can be used to audit
the environment: this is, of course, principally for schools and residential homes.
