ABSTRACT
The training is designed to take place over several workshops. The workshops are very flexible and can be adapted to suit the needs of teachers' school and the children who are joining the sessions. The training employs many teaching and learning strategies and encourages the children to develop their speaking and listening skills as well as their social skills. The workshops have been designed to be delivered to a whole class but can be adapted for a smaller group depending on the numbers of children they are training. The training room should suit the needs of the group. Ensure that all children have access to the room and the facilities. Before the training begins teachers will need to remind the children that they have been selected to become Playground Champions and that in these sessions they will be learning some new skills that will help them to support and help other children in the school.
