ABSTRACT

The concluding chapter reflects on the directions that the narratives of the Bangladeshi women open up for us to understand the gendered ways in which the prison, state, and borders influence the lives of women. This apart, they give us new insights to understand female mobility, criminality, and how both the prison and the border can be accessed through the narratives of a group of women who are otherwise considered to be irrelevant or an aberrant in the mainstream discourses on borders, mobility, and prisons.
