ABSTRACT
Our study of East-W est industrial cooperation has pinpointed a number of characteristic features of this form of East-W est eco nomic relations. Its relative importance and its potential for further development can be properly a ssessed only if they are analyzed in light of the development of interfirm cooperation in the m arket-oriented industrial econom ies and, further, in relation to a ll the other form s of East-W est economic relations.
