This SKPY is a Ming block-print edition. The character script is modeled after the Sung style and there are several inscriptions at the head of the f irs t chüan. The book is 26 cm. long, 16.3 cm. wide, and each of the [p r in t­ ing] frames is 20 cm. long and 13 cm. wide. It has a singlelined edge with a blank space [between the two half fo lios] on which is written Shih-kang pT ing-yao with the indication of the chuan and folio number. The frontispiece of the book contains a preface by Wu Tsfung-hsien of Hsin-tu, claiming that the original manuscript TTwas obtained from [a certain] tao -hsüeh scholar of Wu-men 晏 門 [i.e ., Wu -hsien, modern Kiangsu].TT At the end of the preface [the half folio ] is inscribed: fW ritten at Hsia-i ko in the autumn of the kuei-chTou 癸 丑 year of Wanl i [16131” ; it also bears the marking of two seals: ”Wu yin TsTung-hsientT 要 ^ ? 從 ^先 [Wu TsTung-hsienTs sea l], and uNir^-yehTÎ 窜 好 [i.e ., Wu TsTung - hsienfs style -name]. Be­ cause of the great age, some folios had been damaged and fallen apart because of bookworm damage, but [the damage was not done to] the vita l portions [of the book].
