ABSTRACT
This chapter evaluates intelligent disobedience from an ethical standpoint. It examines how the actions might represent a higher degree of ethical behavior. Ensuring that acts of intelligent disobedience are prudent and ethical requires taking the time to think through options clearly and, when possible, sharing reader's idea with a trusted colleague before acting. The most significant ethical issues discussed in intelligent disobedience workshops arise from lack of action or acting without appropriate forethought. Ethical acts of intelligent disobedience often receive significant support from a broad set of individuals. The desire to belong can tempt to lose authenticity in beliefs and the truth that has crafted unique life experiences and beliefs. The chapter provides guidelines that reader can use to evaluate the ethics of intelligently disobedient approaches. Using intelligent disobedience should help reader to sleep better, in the knowledge that reader have done something to support business.
